“Little children, we must not love in word or speech, but in deed and truth.” 1 John 3:18 HCSB
Love is not only expressed in the words one says, but love must be demonstrated in the things one does. Love is so much more than words or sentiment that is spoken or written. Love demands action. True love is a self-sacrifice that gives to meet the needs of others. God not only says He loves us, but He showed that love by Jesus’ death on the cross that provides a way for us to have a relationship with Him.
Lord Jesus, I am amazed at how great Your love is for us. Help me to love others by doing deeds that show Your amazing love.
