“The one who says, ‘I have come to know Him,’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” 1 John 2:4 NASB

Some people have professed with their mouth that they know God, and yet their actions profess differently. They habitually do not obey God’s commands. They consistently act as if Jesus has no priority in their lives. They may “talk the talk,” but they do not “walk the walk.” John calls such a person a liar. They do not know the truth. They do not know God.

Lord Jesus, help me to be obedient to Your Word. As the song says, “there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.”
